There are two ways to access the Unit Search function. Either through the Home tab menu, or using the Search for Unit icon () on the Work Orders tab.
1. | In the Home tab menu, click Unit Search (under the Property Security heading). The Unit Search tab opens. |
OR
Click the Search for Unit icon . The Unit Search screen opens.
2. | Begin typing any type of the unit's information, such as the unit number, address, landlord name, current tenant name, etc. into the search textbox at the top of the screen. This is a free-form, dynamic search so you can type either the first name or last name, and, as you begin typing, matches to your entry will begin populating the search results table below the textbox. |
Hint: By default, all unit records will be searched. However, you can narrow your search even more by selecting the Advanced Search link located to the right of the search textbox. After selecting the link, the following additional search filter options appear: development, location, contract rent, square footage, amenity type, accessibility type, number of bedrooms, whether the unit is occupied, and the year build (age).
3. | After entering your search criteria, the closest match to your entry is highlighted in the search results table. You can now view or edit the unit record, as necessary. |
4. | To select or view the unit record, either click the View link located to the far left of the highlighted record's table row, or click ![]() |
Note: If you accessed the Unit Search screen from another screen, clicking the View link or button returns you to that screen with the selected unit information displayed. If you accessed the Unit Search screen directly from the Home tab menu, a separate Unit screen appears displaying the unit's full details across eleven tabs after clicking the View link or button.
OR
To edit the unit record, click at the bottom, right-hand corner of the screen. A Unit screen appears displaying the unit's full details across eleven tabs. Edit the unit information, as necessary.
Hint: To exit out of an individual screen or tab, you can click on the toolbar, or
next to the screen/tab name. You can also use the Escape (ESC) key on your keyboard. (If you haven't saved any changes before exiting, a message will appear asking if you'd like to save before closing.)
